Safeguarding
Young innovators are welcome — and protected.
Under-18 submissions are not accepted at launch. Guardian verification and moderated communication must be in place before participation opens.
Required protections before under-18 participation opens
Parent/guardian verification
A verified guardian must confirm participation before a minor's project goes live.
Appropriate consent
Consent is required for publication, media, introductions and any external contact.
Moderated communication
Messages to a minor pass through Inovio moderation. Direct private channels are disabled.
No public contact information
We never publish addresses, phone numbers, schools, emails or social handles for minors.
Safe introduction system
Investors, companies and mentors request an introduction; Inovio and the guardian decide.
Reporting tools
Any profile, project or message can be reported in one click and is reviewed by the trust team.
Privacy controls
Creators choose surname visibility, precise location, imagery and whether their age band is shown.
Age-appropriate rewards
No cash-style incentives, no pressure mechanics, no engagement-maximising tactics for minors.
What verification means
Badges describe checks Inovio performed. They are never a guarantee, an endorsement, or investment advice.

- No misrepresenting who you are, who you work for, or what you are offering.
